Just not better than numerous alternatives from Pianoteq, AAS & various sample libraries for Kontakt. Well, not the naming but the amount of space for that name in the GUI, alot of the names are long and cut off.Okay, I can agree that the acoustic and electric pianos are good. I think the naming of the sounds could be a little better.

There's really so much in there, the pianos are great, the american acoustic is really good, solo strings are good, Clavitube is phenomenal, the new rhodes and wurli are good.

I'm not sure what kind of sounds you'd be looking for from Sampletank, but like any rompler you'll like some better than others. Well, not the naming but the amount of space for that name in the GUI, alot of the names are long and cut off. It's almost like IKM is two companies, in that the quality of their products ranges from extremely poor to really good, even elite.I'm not sure what kind of sounds you'd be looking for from Sampletank, but like any rompler you'll like some better than others. (Though I can see why this approach wouldn't appeal to many.) MIxBox is stellar as a sound shaping tool, and Lurssen is a nice alternative for simple, quick pseudo-mastering. And although I believe SampleTank is subpar both in terms of sonics and UI, their Amplitube, T-RackS and MODO lines are superb, and their Syntronik and SampleTron rompler stuff is cool. I suspect the latter.īut whatever, it's a great, extremely generous group buy. It's the most confusing, convoluted array of packages, ways to pay & prices to pay I've ever seen.Įither they're just really bad at presenting the marketing side of their content in an understandable way, or they do it on purpose. No, nothing is ever clear with IKM at all.
